I pray, “Everything will fall into place.”
I pray, “I will love myself.”
I pray, “I will overcome this situation.”

In high school, I was deeply passionate about mathematics. I loved mathematical thinking and the beauty of logical processes. When I entered college, I initially chose to major in Electrical Engineering instead of Mathematics for various reasons. After three years, I decided to return to the Mathematics Department, a decision that reignited my joy for learning.

During that time, I studied diligently, founded a numerical analysis lab within the department, and kept moving forward. I later joined an applied mathematics industrial laboratory to learn more about the real-world applications.

Two years later, I was accepted into the University of Wyoming’s Ph.D. program in Mathematics, graduating in 2016. Immediately afterward, I joined Airloom Energy, where I have worked as an embedded software engineer, firmware engineer, and software engineer.

At times, I’ve wondered, “Have I let go of my mathematics dream?” or “Have I drifted too far from mathematical research?” Today, my answer is clear: No. Engineering is simply another journey of mathematics—another path in my life.

I will move forward, without regret for the choices I’ve made. And now, I am ready to make a new plan for my life.
